ENJOY your Sunday brunch in style at Gorge’Us tea shop in Spital. Award-winning baker Ceri Newton has started opening on Sundays from 9.30am until 2pm, serving full English breakfasts, speciality vegetarian breakfasts, eggs benedict and all the papers.

“People wanted somewhere to go for a nice relaxed read of the papers and things like eggs benedict and French toast with crispy bacon and maple syrup, so we’re now open seven days a week,” explains Ceri.

The Lancelyn Precinct tea shop has also announced a programme of children’s baking parties – a hit with the youngsters, and with their parents when they take their yummy creations home – private baking lessons for adults and bespoke afternoon teas.

“We have all the usuals and it’s all homemade – finger sandwiches, cake, pastries and scones,” says Ceri. “But we can do them to order with the special flavours of the season.
