HTML, XHTML & CSS For Dummies – An Interview & A Giveaway ...
When I decided I wanted to learn HTML, there was no Google, Wikipedia or not really anything on the Internet. The most popular search engine Hotbot at the time (I think that is what has been called) and animated gifs, tables and frames in which all the rage. For this, there was really no way for online learning HTML, so it was for the library I went. In fact, since I was in sixth grade, was in a bookstore my dad is gone.
The first book I've ever taken of development was one of the first editions of HTML For Dummies. Yes, there was also noted that CSS or XHTML at the moment.
Anyway, they are impressive when it is with pleasure Jeff Noble, co-author of the 7th edition of HTML for Dummies series, came to me and asked me if I wanted to poke a few chapters and see if I could find any errors or bugs. Of course, how could I resist?
The preview of the chapters I had was terrible. This book has certainly come a long way from its early '90s ancestors. Moreover, it is in color! Lucky me, I was able to grab Jeff for an interview about who he is, what the development is to him, and how he got started as an author....
