I turned in the final piece of JS: tdg6 the production department O'Reilly yesterday. So I'm almost done with the book! (Well, okay, I have yet to update the preface, check the galleys, etc., but the writing is finally serious, finally finished.)

Here are some statistics:

Covers: ECMAScript 5, HTML5, jQuery

Words: 396,582

Pages: 1024 (nice number, but the index will add another 50 or so ...)

Lines of code: ~ 11,500

Chapters: 22 (core plus and reference sections on the client side)

The new or completely rewritten chapters: 15

Months of work: 21

I do not know when you will be able to get a copy. Its out of my hands and now I do not know yet the production program or print. A long book like this takes a while 'though.

It usually does not require too much time to update the Rough Cut, but still does not seem to contain the material is there, yet. Sorry!

Copro jQuery probably because his most popular picture and is small enough to cover in one chapter. jQuery is only once in the chapter - the rest of the book is pure JavaScript....
