Yep! Another great book Muraca.
This book is an excellent resource for learning excellence for the development of PHP.
Like all books Muraca, it teaches much more then the nuts and bolts of technology, but also what are the right way to use them.
The book is updated with PHP 5.3 and takes you through getting the Stack set up PHP (Windows or Mac)
It quickly covers the basic requirements such as HTML, CSS, and HTTP, and then jump on how to write and debug PHP code.
It is not only the breadth of detail on specific web programming with PHP, like cookies, images, uploads, etc., but also offers broad guidelines for the next level.
There are sections on topics that are often overlooked for new developers as PHP Object Oriented Programming and using the MVC pattern in PHP.
As I often say Muraca's books - if I had a course on PHP development, this is the book I would teach the course. Not only a great learning / training resources, but once you've read, it becomes a great reference desk....
